The Wee County

I've been exploring both the new website and the concept of "The Wee County". So, I Googled and found this link to Wikapaedia:-

As the saying goes, good things come in small packages. I suppose one of the benefits of having a "concentrated community" is that you can relate to it easily. And if you can relate to it, you can feel part of it and feel that it is part of you too.

Here down sarf in the smoke, its difficult to relate to your neighbours. People you work with can live 30 or even 50 miles or more from you and so you rarely get to socialise outside work. Unless its locally then you have to struggle home late at night on the train or tube - taking your life in your hands along with your ticket.

We are anonymous. We wouldn't dream of offering someone we didn't know a lift in our car because we are going to the same shop on Tuesday - unless maybe they could prove they had been police checked and had a certificate of sanity.
