OR turn up early on the night to book a spot.
DETAILS: This is an Open Mic night for writers across central Scotland to fill a
series of five minute performance spots before a mixed audience. Poetry, short
stories, monologues, songs, scripts; bring your own work and if it’s a script bring a
rehearsed team to read it! It is an event for creative writers and for people who like
to hear what’s being written.
A maximum of 5 minutes will be allowed for each piece … not enough time to read
your novel … but enough time to read an extract that will make people want to buy
the book!
The atmosphere will be informal, the bar will be open. The performance night is free
to enter and you’ll even be able to buy a raffle ticket and have an opportunity to
become a lucky winner!
It’s a great way to enjoy a Friday night. Come along, bring your friends and sit back
and enjoy creative moments. And, hey, there are spots reserved for first time readers
too. So, see you there.
