Writer`s spaces
“Writer’s Spaces” Launched by Clackswrite Team.
Local Writers In Residence Tom Murray and Stuart Hepburn are planning an exciting new initiative to help Wee County scribes get the creative juices flowing. Over the next few months, they are organising a series of “Writers Spaces” workshops at Alloa Library.
Tom commented “The idea came from local writers themselves. Many people felt they needed a quiet space away from all the hurly burly of everyday life, but with support and help should they need it. We plan to create that creative space in the Library.”
The workshop will last two hours, from 7 till 9, and will start off with a short writing exercise to stimulate the imagination, and then the writers will be able to find a quiet space to start off that new story, sort out the middle of that poem, or finish off the novel that’s been gathering dust for three years.
Stuart and Tom will be on hand to lend a hand should they be needed.
Stuart added “Writer’s Spaces will also be a wonderful way to help our local writers produce work to submit for the Anthology of new writing which we plan to publish in November.”
Open to anyone over 16, in Alloa Library at 7pm on Tuesday 3rd June.
